DJ Tactics

Tactics was born in Newark (Brick City), NJ and raised in Plainfield NJ. Tactics journey into the Hip Hop culture started in the early 1980’s when he was pre-teen . He (Tic-Tac, as he was then known) originally was a pop-locker but got into DJing when he and a friend wanted to share their expertise with each other. as He wanted to learn how to pop lock and then Tic-Tac wanted to learn how to DJ so they exchange those Hip Hop Element skills.  Tactics interest in DJing grew more upon hearing on-air legends Red Alert, Chuck Chillout on Kiss FM NYC, Marley Marl WBLS NYC and Local Plainfield1986 DMC Champion DJ Cheese. He then reached out to friend and Mentor, the Legendary Chuck Chillout of WBLS in NYC, he put together a mock air check and sent it to stations in NYC, Boston and Philadelphia. It was heard at then Philly103.9 and thinking it was real, Tactics was called in for a interview, and based upon his clever presentation he was brought on as a Board Operator in 2001. In the mid 2000’s Tactics performed at many places and featured his talent for venues like The House Of Blues/Club Worship in AC, Five Spot in Philly, Club Fluid in Philly The Shadow in NYC and more. Tactics is now a Technical Producer and can be heard every weekend as a Co- Host for Court Radio ,The Breakdown With Mannwell Glenn and can be heard every Sat Night Mixing on Classix 1079 on the Classix Spin 10P-12A
