Monkeying Around
Coming out of Peru, authorities had to arrest a burglar, but this isn’t your typical suspect. Turns out, the culprit responsible for ransacking multiple homes was a pet monkey that escaped. Wildlife officials and a team of vets from the local zoo responded to the scene when the monkey was seen on rooftops, trees and power lines in a housing complex. The monkey was later found in a tree and was safely removed and taken to the local Zoo, where it is currently in quarantine.

Preserved Cheeto
A Pokémon shaped Flamin’ Hot Cheeto has been auctioned for $87,840. The Goldin auction house said the uniquely sculpted snack opened bidding at $250 in February and was sold to an unnamed bidder for a total of $87,840 including a buyer’s premium. A sport’s memorabilia company discovered the Cheeto first and preserved it sometime between 2018 and 2022. Images of the Flamin’ Hot Pokémon looking chip just went viral on social media in 2024.

Eyedrops or Glue?
A few doctors apart of the Colorado hospital system are urging eye drop users to read labels carefully after there’s been a rise in cases due to people accidentally putting glue into their eyes. Dr. Richard Davidson, an ophthalmologist, said medical practitioners have noticed it has become surprisingly common for people to mistake nail glue or lash glue for eye drops. Some doctors often run into cases more severe than others where they have to have to scrape adhesive from the surface of a patient’s eye. Luckily, this mishap is not likely to cause any permanent damage.
